What is THE sleep out?
We are calling on people from Galway, Mayo, Roscommon and beyond to give up their beds for one night to raise vital funds for those facing homelessness in the West.
Take the challenge and organise your own Sleep Out in a safe place of your choosing. This could be a tent in your back garden in Boyle, a trampoline in Claremorris, a garden shed in Headford or an office car park in Vancouver. By doing so, you’re guaranteed to come away with a sense of pride at making a difference.
How to Take Part?
While our official Sleep Out already took place on Friday 30th September, there is still the option for schools and community groups to organise their own Sleep Out in a safe place of their choosing.
Organising your own Sleep Out means that no matter where you are in the world, be that Moycullen, Westport, Castlerea or Shanghai, you can still get involved and raise vital funds for those most vulnerable in the West.
Organise Your oWn Sleep Out
Galway Simon is calling on you and your friends and family, schools and community groups to come together and Sleep Out for Simon to raise vital funds for individuals and families facing the fear of homelessness.
While there is no minimum fundraising requirement to organise your own Sleep Out, we encourage participants to aim for a minimum fundraising goal of €250.
Together with your support, we aim to raise €100,000 to support people experiencing or at risk homelessness
here in the West.
